LA DIANA (LD)
Journal Descriptions
LA DIANA , the journal of the School of Specialization in Historical and Artistic Heritage of the University of Siena ( SSBSA ), presents a new online edition. A forum for discussing research developed within the School's activities, it is open to contributions from Italian and international scholars interested in sharing the results of their research in a perspective of cross-generational exchange. LA DIANA supports and promotes a plurality of perspectives on contemporary art historical practice, with particular attention to the contexts of production and reception of works of art and the history of culture and ideas. LA DIANA encourages proposals on less explored cultural areas and methodologically updated approaches based on the most recent critical and theoretical orientations, starting nonetheless from philologically founded historical anchors and from a timely interrogation and problematization of the data presented. LA DIANA meets the highest standards of peer review and publishes rigorous and original works in all fields of art history, architecture, decorative and industrial arts, design, costume and fashion, the theory and history of restoration, collecting and museology, and policies for the protection, conservation, management, and promotion of cultural heritage and the art market, in several languages (Italian, English, French, German, and Spanish). It is an open-access journal published twice a year, with a biannual frequency.
