L’Enseignement philosophique (EPH)
Journal Descriptions
L'APPEP's magazine, L'Enseignement philosophique, is designed as a space for exchange and mutual support between practitioners of philosophy teaching, whether they practice their profession in high school or in higher education. Here, they can share their personal research and teaching experience with their peers, and submit to their judgment what they have discovered through their practice of philosophy. The magazine's emphasis on collegiality means that its pages are by no means reserved for specialists in the issues addressed, but invites everyone to send in their thoughts. L'Enseignement philosophique includes articles on fundamental questions, works, authors and philosophical trends, as well as on certain aspects of the history of the arts or sciences of interest to philosophical reflection. It also includes articles presenting reflections on teaching practice or argued accounts of concrete implementations (methods of approaching the dissertation or explanation of text in class, treatment of a notion, ways of proceeding with the study of a work, uses in class of media that are not immediately philosophical, etc.).). The magazine also opens its columns to short texts (mood bills, reactions to current events, etc.), on the sole condition that their more informal style is accompanied by the intellectual rigor required to explain their philosophical interest. Articles must not exceed 30,000 characters, including notes and spaces. They are submitted to a reading committee, which always sends the author a precisely reasoned opinion. Articles should be sent to the following address: revue@appep.net.
