Founded in 1959, L'Année balzacienne, published by the Groupe d'Etudes balzaciennes, has appeared in annual issues since 1960. Its third series opened in 2000. Each volume contains research articles on and around Balzac, his work and the context in which it was produced: general, biographical, genetic, historical, stylistic studies.
