Kritisk juss (KJ)
Journal Descriptions
Kritisk juss (Critical Law) was established in 1974, and publishes research articles, debate and commentary articles and book reviews in critical legal studies. The journal is interdisciplinary, and aims to provide an arena for not only legal scholarship, but also the investigation of problems that lie on the borders between legal studies and the social sciences, psychology, linguistics, philosophy and other relevant disciplines. Articles in Kritisk juss should take a critical stance. The journal is concerned with debates regarding legal and legal-political problems, social norms, the origins and effects of the law, legal institutions, legal studies as a discipline and law as a profession, and their relation to other disciplines. The journal is particularly interested in problems pertaining to the position in relation to the law of those who are disadvantaged and marginalised in society. The journal’s target groups are researchers in the fields of law, legal sociology, criminology, philosophy, social science and the humanities, lawyers, judges, teachers, students, political and administrative decision makers, the media and a broader reading public. The journal publishes articles in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and English. The journal is published by Scandinavian University Press on behalf of Rettspolitisk forening.
