Jussens Venner is a journal specially adapted to the needs of law students and is frequently referred to in the juridical literature and in the reading lists of the three law schools in Norway. The journal practices peer review after evaluation by the editors. Jussens Venner is a supplement to the law curriculum and contains new presentations of classic juridical subjects, presentations of topics that lack jurisprudential consideration, and discussion of new legislation and legal usage. The journal was established in 1952, and the editorial staff has always consisted of law students – at present, two from the University of Oslo. The journal provides peer review of most articles after consideration by the editors. Jussens Venner is read by most law students and practising lawyers in Norway.
