Journal of Xi'an Highway University (JXHU)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Xi'an Highway University was a specialized academic journal dedicated to research in transportation and highway engineering. Established in 2001, it provided a scholarly platform for engineers, researchers, and academics to publish studies related to road infrastructure, traffic systems, and civil engineering technologies. The journal primarily focused on the design, construction, maintenance, and management of highways, bridges, and tunnels. It published original research articles, technical papers, and reviews addressing both theoretical and practical aspects of transportation engineering. Topics included pavement engineering, traffic flow analysis, transportation planning, and the development of new materials and construction techniques for road infrastructure. The journal also contributed to the dissemination of innovations in highway machinery, safety engineering, and transportation economics. Although the journal ceased publication around 2001 due to institutional restructuring, its academic legacy continues through successor journals in the field. It played a significant role in advancing transportation engineering research in China during its active years and supported the development of modern highway systems and infrastructure technologies.
