Journal Descriptions

The Journal of the Eritrean Medical Association (JEMA) is a scholarly medical journal published by the Eritrean Medical Association. It serves as a platform for the dissemination of research and clinical findings relevant to healthcare practice in Eritrea and similar developing regions. The journal publishes original research articles, case reports, and reviews that contribute to the understanding of medical conditions, public health challenges, and healthcare delivery systems. JEMA focuses on issues of particular importance to the African context, including infectious diseases, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, and health system strengthening. It also highlights locally conducted studies that provide valuable insights into disease patterns, treatment outcomes, and healthcare interventions in Eritrea. The journal supports the advancement of evidence based medical practice by encouraging collaboration among clinicians, researchers, and public health professionals. Through the publication of region specific research, it plays an important role in informing healthcare policy and improving clinical outcomes.
