Journal of the CIPH (JC)
Journal Descriptions
Rue Descartes is the international, quarterly, peer-reviewed journal of the Collège international de philosophie. Interrogating philosophy and its excesses, this pluralistic journal reflects the diversity of the practices and research of the program directors. It publishes not only philosophical texts, but also borderline texts whose form has not been predetermined. Each issue includes an iconographic section giving visibility to the work of an artist, in resonance with the philosophical scope of the dossier. Its issues are composed of a thematic dossier that includes : HORIZONS, which contextualizes and introduces the dossier; CORPUS, which features a series of articles devoted to a theoretical question or an author; PAROLE, a major interview on the theme of the dossier. In addition, each issue includes three sections: ÉPISTÉMÉ, which looks at the contributions of the sciences and social studies to philosophy; CURSUS, which looks more specifically at issues of education, pedagogical experimentation and new research formats, as well as the careers of those who pass on philosophy; LECTURES, which features reviews of recent works. The magazine is available in digital format and in free access on the Rue Descartes website (http://www.ruedescartes.org/).
