The Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society was founded in 1957. It is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by the Chinese Ceramic Society, and edited and published by the Editorial Department of the Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society (Chinese and English). It is a comprehensive academic journal in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials research. The Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society reports innovative scientific research results in related fields such as cement-based materials, ceramics, glass, refractory materials, artificial crystals, mineral materials, new energy materials, and composite materials. Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society is a Chinese core journal, a dual-effect journal, and a China Association for Science and Technology high-quality scientific journal ( Class B ) . It is fully included in the Chinese Academic Journal ( CD-ROM version ) , and is also included in the U.S. "Engineering Index Ei Compendex " ( with an inclusion rate of nearly 100%) , Scopus database, British "Science Abstracts", American "Chemical Abstracts", Russian Abstracts Magazine, etc. It has been rated as a Chinese high-quality scientific journal and one of the 100 outstanding Chinese academic journals many times. It has been selected into the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan (2019-2023) and the Chinese Leading Journal of the Second Phase of the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan (2025-2028). It is a T1-level journal in the classification catalog of high-quality scientific journals in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials.
