Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal began in 1832. Issues were published under that title until about 1936. Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal was succeeded by similar journals with different titles, sometimes occasioned by changes of name for the Society (which is now known simply as The Asiatic Society).
