The Journal of Smart Cities and Society is a quarterly international journal dedicated to advancing research and knowledge on smart cities — complex urban systems enhanced by the integration of digital technologies, data analytics, and participatory governance to improve efficiency, sustainability, and quality of life. Launched in 2022, the journal bridges technological innovation with social and environmental dimensions of urban transformation. Its scope includes but is not limited to topics such as sensor networks and cyber-physical systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning for urban insights, intelligent transportation and mobility solutions, data-driven decision support for city governance, resilient infrastructure design, and community-centric smart services.
