Journal of Semitic Studies (JSS)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Semitic Studies publishes work relating to Semitic linguistics and philology in any time period. We encourage submissions that are innovative studies of Semitic languages containing new data or new methodological analyses (though not analyses focused on formal linguistic frameworks). We are also interested in submissions that publish short Semitic texts, such as inscriptions or documents, and present philological analyses of these. Articles undergo a blinded double peer review process. Book reviews and review articles are generally by invitation only, but we are open to receiving suggestions via contact with the editorial office.
