The mission of the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing is to address substantive issues in interactive, relationship, electronic, direct and multi-channel marketing and marketing management. With its origins in the discipline and practice of direct marketing, the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing (JRIM) aims to publish progressive, innovative and rigorous scholarly research for marketing academics and practitioners. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts which reflect cutting-edge thinking in interactive marketing as well as means by which organizations of all types (for-profit, non-profit, public sector, government, etc.) can employ and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of interactive marketing strategies and tactics. Submissions focusing on both conceptual developments and empirical advances are encouraged, with an emphasis on demonstrating compelling contributions to theory and practice. The Impact of the research on business, policy and society should be explicit. Topics areas which will be addressed, but are not necessarily limited to, include: Comparative studies of effective direct/multi-channel marketing activities across different markets and market regions Measuring the effectiveness of interactive marketing activities Identifying appropriate interactive marketing activities across varying organizations and industries Interactive/Multi-channel marketing in the public sector/non-profit realm Ethical/legal issues in interactive marketing Applying interactive/multi-channel marketing to gain competitive advantage Establishing and maintaining customer relationships through interactive marketing channels.
