Journal Descriptions
As the official journal of the Texas Counseling Association, Journal of Professional Counseling: Practice, Theory, and Research is a semi-annual scholarly publication, aiming at providing clinical, theoretical, and empirical guidance to professional counselors, educators, researchers, and other mental health professionals. The journal welcomes manuscripts that focus on various aspects of counseling practice and education, such as (a) practical and unique applications of counseling techniques/approaches in school and clinical settings, (b) significant quantitative and qualitative research, (c) critical integrations of published research, (d) theoretical and social policy, and (e) scholarly reviews of professional materials. Manuscripts are typically categorized into four types: research, theory, practice, and trends and issues.
