The Journal of Participation and Employee Ownership publishes original empirical and theoretical research in the broad areas of employee participation, shared capitalism, and other related topics. Journal of Participation and Employee Ownership (JPEO) embraces diverse methodologies ranging from statistical analysis to qualitative research to randomized experiments to theoretical studies. The journal welcomes contributions from a wide range of disciplines, from economics to management science, sociology, political science, public policy, and all other relevant disciplines. Coverage includes, but is not limited to rigorous analysis of employee participation in decision-making at the top level (such as works council, joint labour-management committees, and worker directors) and at the grassroots level (such as self-directed/self-managed teams, shop floor committees, and small group activities); high-performance, high-involvement work systems; employee involvement and empowerment; cooperatives; shared capitalism (such as employee ownership; profit sharing; gain sharing and team incentives; broad-based stock option); and all other related management practices and human resource management policies.
