Journal of Neuroendocrinology (JNE)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Neuroendocrinology is a long-established, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing original research and authoritative reviews in the broad field of neuroendocrinology — where the nervous and endocrine systems intersect to regulate physiology and behaviour. First launched in 1989, the journal provides a premier international platform for high-impact articles that span the spectrum from basic mechanistic insights into neuroendocrine pathways to translational and clinical research with direct implications for human health. Its two editorial strands — Fundamental and Mechanistic Neuroendocrinology and Translational and Clinical Neuroendocrinology — ensure comprehensive coverage of topics ranging from molecular signalling and neuropeptide regulation to neuroendocrine oncology and clinical manifestations of neuroendocrine disorders. The journal publishes monthly and is recognized internationally for rigorous peer review and scientific excellence. It is owned and managed by the British Society for Neuroendocrinology (BSN) and published on its behalf by Wiley, with editorial leadership from Professors Mike Lehman and Wouter W. de Herder. As an official journal of multiple international neuroendocrine societies, it attracts research from scientists and clinicians worldwide and serves as a central forum for advancing understanding of endocrine control mechanisms, neurohormonal integration, and cutting-edge discoveries that connect endocrine physiology with neurological function.
