The Journal of Montessori Research advances knowledge of Montessori education through empirical research studies, critical reviews of the literature, theoretical essays, and scholarly book reviews available in an open access forum.. The Journal of Montessori Research is a publication of the American Montessori Society (AMS) launched in the fall of 2015. The founding editor of the publication is Angela Murray, Associate Research Professor at the University of Kansas. While AMS financially supports the journal, editorial decisions and content are independent of the organization. The Journal of Montessori Research is an online publication that advances knowledge of Montessori education through empirical research studies, critical reviews of the literature, theoretical essays, and scholarly book reviews available in an open access forum. Submissions are invited from a variety of disciplines and a range of research paradigms that contribute to scholarship for the Montessori community as well as the broader field of education.
