Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Midwifery & Women’s Health (JMWH) is a leading bimonthly peer-reviewed journal first appearing in the early 2000s under its current title, continuing a long tradition of midwifery scholarship. It is published by John Wiley & Sons (Wiley) on behalf of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the premier professional body for midwives in the United States. JMWH’s mission is to advance the science and practice of midwifery and women’s health care by disseminating high-quality research, systematic reviews, clinical practice insights, policy discussions, and educational innovations. The journal covers a wide range of topics including maternity care, perinatal outcomes, reproductive and gynecologic health, sexual health issues, health care delivery and policy, health equity, and interprofessional collaboration. With a commitment to evidence-based practice, JMWH helps clinicians, educators, researchers, and policymakers translate research findings into improved patient care and health systems. Its readership spans nurse-midwives, obstetric and gynecologic clinicians, nursing professionals, public health experts, and academics interested in advancing women’s health outcomes and midwifery practice, both nationally and globally.
