The Journal of Microencapsulation is a subscription-based, peer-reviewed journal publishing full-length Research Articles, Reviews, Notes, Letters to the Editor and Data Notes. The journal is dedicated to the publication of original research findings related to the preparation, properties and uses of individually encapsulated novel small particles, as well as significant improvements to tried-and-tested techniques relevant to micro and nano particles and their use in a wide variety of industrial, engineering, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and research applications. Its scope extends beyond conventional microcapsules to all other small particulate systems such as self assembling structures that involve preparative manipulation. The prime scope of the Journal is to publish articles related to the current trends in developing encapsulated micro-nano carriers for diverse applications and it covers: Chemistry of encapsulation materials Physics of release through the capsule wall and/or desorption from carrier and their biological distribution Techniques of preparation, contents, storage and toxicity. All articles received by the journal will be subject to double-anonymous peer review. Its scope extends beyond conventional micro and nanocapsules to other particulate self assembling systems through use of appropriate set of components which autonomously create robust structures. The Journal covers areas as pharmaceutical science, medicine, tissue engineering, cosmetics, food technology, agrochemicals, adhesives and novel applications in the fields of energy and environmental sustainability, and photographic and copying process.
