Medical screening is the systematic application of a test or enquiry to identify individuals at sufficient risk of a specific disorder to benefit from further investigation or direct preventive action, among persons who have not sought medical attention on account of symptoms of that disorder. Journal of Medical Screening is dedicated to the science of medical screening. An interdisciplinary publication, the journal is concerned with all aspects of medical screening, particularly research presenting quantitative material that advances the practice of sound screening. The journal aims to increase awareness of the principles (including statistical aspects and the evaluation of screening tests and programmes), techniques and procedures, and methodologies from all specialities.
