Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB) is a peer‑reviewed monthly scientific journal dedicated to publishing high‑quality research across the spectrum of plant biology. Its origins go back to 1952, when the publication began as Acta Botanica Sinica, a Chinese botanical journal. In 2005 the title was formally changed to Journal of Integrative Plant Biology, reflecting its transition into an international forum published in English. JIPB’s scope includes fundamental and integrative studies in plant sciences, such as cell and developmental biology, molecular physiology, metabolic biology, signal transduction, stress physiology, reproductive biology, evolutionary processes, and systems biology approaches. The journal seeks to address key biological questions by combining multiple approaches—from genetics and genomics to biochemical and molecular methodologies—providing insights into plant structure, function, adaptation, and evolution. Articles accepted for publication typically offer novel scientific discoveries, innovative methodologies, or significant conceptual advances that are of broad interest to the global plant science community. With monthly issues, JIPB ensures timely dissemination of research findings to researchers, educators, and professionals working in plant biology and related disciplines. Its partnership between the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wiley enhances its reach and impact worldwide, reflected in its strong citation metrics and inclusion in major international databases.
