Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law (JHPPL)
Journal Descriptions
A leading journal in its field, and the primary source of communication across the many disciplines it serves, the Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law focuses on the initiation, formulation, and implementation of health policy and analyzes the relations between government and health—past, present, and future. The Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law seeks to publish original research and commentary on the initiation, formulation, implementation, and impacts of health policy; the political influences on and consequences of health care policy, public health policy, and health reform; and the relations between government and health. Our audience is broad and interdisciplinary; thus, we expect manuscripts to speak to readers both adjacent to and distant from authors’ native disciplines. We welcome submissions from political scientists, economists, legal scholars, sociologists, health services and public health researchers, and others, as long as the work exhibits intellectual rigor, scholarly depth, accessible writing, and relevance beyond next week’s headlines.
