Journal of Environmental Engineering (JEE)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Environmental Engineering is a peer-reviewed scholarly scientific journal that serves as one of ASCE’s flagship publications in environmental engineering. It publishes original research, technical papers, case studies, practice-oriented articles, and discussions that advance the understanding and application of engineering principles to environmental systems and environmental protection issues. Topics span a broad interdisciplinary range including: design and optimization of wastewater collection and treatment systems, fate and transport of contaminants in watersheds, surface water, groundwater, soil and the atmosphere, engineering methods for pollution control and mitigation, environmental biology and chemistry affecting water quality, nonpoint source pollution management, air pollution and acid deposition control, and solid waste facility design and management. The journal provides a forum where both researchers and practicing engineers contribute to solving environmental problems through engineering analysis, modeling, and innovative technologies. It also includes studies on sustainable infrastructure, regulatory impacts, and policy implications relevant to environmental engineering practice.
