The Journal of Education for Sustainable Development (JESD) is a respected bi-annual scholarly journal dedicated to promoting excellence in research and practice related to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Launched in March 2007 during the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005–2014), JESD was conceived as a global forum where academics, educators, researchers, and practitioners can share and critique research, innovative projects, policies, and reflective essays in the rapidly evolving field of sustainability education. The journal emphasizes rigorous peer-reviewed work that integrates sustainability principles into educational theory and practice, addressing environmental stewardship, social equity, economic understanding, and cultural dimensions of learning.
