Journal of Defense Analytics and Logistics (JDAL)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Defense Analytics and Logistics is an academic, peer-reviewed journal focusing on research relating to logistics, operations and supply chain management within the context of national and/or international Defense. Published by Emerald on behalf of the Air Force Institute of Technology's Center for Operational Analysis. When submitting a manuscript, authors will be taken to a service called Paperpal Preflight, an AI-driven tool that checks manuscripts against the journal's author guidelines. Authors are free to use or bypass this step and submit directly to ScholarOne. The Journal of Defense Analytics and Logistics (JDAL) considers a broad range of topics across the logistics, operations research, and supply chain management space. However, each research article considered at the journal must contribute directly to the art and science of national and/or international defense. Manuscripts that develop innovative new ways of thinking about defense are especially encouraged. Successful manuscripts are theoretically sound, methodologically rigorous and practically relevant. The journal is international in scope, and submissions from all countries are welcomed. JDAL publishes two issues per annum. The Journal of Defense Analytics and Logistics is published by Emerald on behalf of the Air Force Institute of Technology's Center for Operational Analysis. JDAL is owned by the Center for Operational Analysis. JDAL is published under a Diamond OA arrangement, in that all charges for publishing an OA article in JDAL are funded by the Center for Operational Analysis. There is no charge to the author.
