Journal of Cutaneous Pathology (JCP)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Cutaneous Pathology is a peer-reviewed international scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in dermatopathology — the specialized intersection of dermatology and pathology that focuses on diseases of the skin and mucous membranes. Established in 1974, this journal serves as the official publication of the American Society of Dermatopathology, providing a platform for original scientific manuscripts, clinicopathologic studies, reviews, case reports, and perspectives that enhance the scientific understanding of cutaneous diseases and related disorders. Emphasizing both clinical relevance and scientific rigor, it welcomes work based on light and electron microscopy, histochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, genetics, and allied disciplines provided they contribute to a deeper understanding of skin pathology. Topics of interest include but are not limited to skin malignancies (e.g., melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma), inflammatory dermatoses, nevi and dysplastic lesions, autoimmune skin disorders, and emerging diagnostic techniques. The journal is indexed in major bibliographic databases (including MEDLINE/PubMed and Science Citation Index) and has an impact factor reported in Journal Citation Reports. Its monthly publication schedule ensures timely dissemination of cutting-edge research to clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in dermatologic and pathological practice worldwide.
