Journal of Current Toxicology and Venomics (JCTV)
Journal Descriptions
Journal of Current Toxicology and Venomics is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality original research, reviews, case reports, letters and thematic issues across the broad disciplines of toxicology and venomics. The journal highlights advances in understanding toxic mechanisms, venom composition, toxin-target interactions and therapeutic potentials of venom-derived molecules. By integrating traditional toxicology with modern molecular, biochemical, proteomic and pharmacological approaches, this journal serves as a platform for researchers investigating the health and environmental impacts of toxic agents as well as the bioactive properties of venoms and toxins from animals, plants and microbes. Its scope encompasses mechanistic studies of toxicity, identification of novel venom peptides, safety assessments of chemical agents, development of venom-based therapeutics, and translational research that bridges basic toxin biology with clinical and industrial applications. With publications released continuously online and compiled into periodic volumes, the journal promotes rapid dissemination of findings to scientists, clinicians and regulatory professionals working in toxicology, pharmacology, venom research and related life sciences.
