Founded in 1947 by the Baghdad School of the American Schools of Overseas Research, the Journal of Cuneiform Studies (JCS) presents technical and general articles on the history, literatures, and languages of ancient Mesopotamia and Anatolia, with a focus on work that engages substantially with the script and content of cuneiform texts in their original languages. Articles appear in English, French, and German.
