The Journal of Comparative Psychology® publishes original empirical and theoretical research from a comparative perspective on the behavior, cognition, perception, and social relationships of diverse species. The submission of articles containing data on multiple species and/or multiple tasks or settings is especially encouraged. Studies can concern humans and nonhuman species, can be descriptive or experimental, and can be conducted in natural or captive settings. Papers in the following areas are especially welcome: animal models in robotics behavioral biology of conservation and animal welfare behavioral economics behavior genetics and epigenetics behavioral rhythms cognition communication development endocrine–behavior interactions evolutionary psychology learning methodology memory microbiome–behavior interactions orientation and navigation personality and temperament phylogenetic comparisons problem solving sensory and perceptual processes social behavior social cognition
