The Journal of College Access (JCA) focuses on the current trends, research, practices, and development of all types of programs, policies, and activities related to the access of and success in postsecondary education. Issues of college aspiration, qualification, application, enrollment, and persistence are the primary emphases. Journal of College Access, a peer-reviewed, academic, open access, online journal with a focus on how students aspire to, gain access to, enroll in and persist in higher education institutions. The Journal is published periodically. Views expressed are those of the authors and are not necessarily endorsed by the publisher, the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN), nor the Center for Postsecondary Readiness and Success. Copyright in material published in the Journal remains with the author. Reproduction is permitted for educational, non-commercial purposes only, with appropriate referencing. We welcome submissions from a wide community of practitioners including, but not limited to college and university faculty, graduate students, administrators, college access professionals, and others with an interest in the college access movement. JCA celebrated its 10th anniversary on January 7, 2025. Watch this video to learn about its impact during this past decade. The Journal was cited by the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN) as a reason that Western Michigan University received MCAN's Steward Award in 2015.
