Journal of Chinese Governance aims to explore the changing state-society relationship and governance practice in China, and offers up-to-date empirical research, theoretical and policy articles on the state governance capacity and modernization, various local models, practices and politics of governance in China. Topics to be covered include China’s state governance capacity, governance modernization, local governance, corporate governance, non-profit governance, social governance, policy governance, environmental governance, climate governance, digital governance, health governance, urban governance, civic engagement in public affairs and service delivery, China’s engagement in global governance, etc. The journal will publish special issues, research papers, and book reviews. The journal will make a valuable contribution to the understanding of Chinese governance, and stimulate a growing number of international scholars to study Chinese governance from the disciplines of political science, public administration, public policy, sociology, economics, and many other areas. All research articles published in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review. In additional original research articles, the journal also publishes book reviews to disseminate comprehensive reviews of emerging topics in all areas of governance.
