Journal Descriptions

The Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies ( JCEBS) is dedicated to publishing original research that addresses key aspects of sustainable development, with a particular focus on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our multidisciplinary approach spans economics, finance and business, with an emphasis on research that contributes to our understanding of global challenges such as climate change, the integration of big data and financial technology into economic systems, and the promotion of equality and diversity. We particularly value research that provides insights into the dynamics of financial development, economic growth, and the role of inclusive institutions in promoting sustainable and equitable development. Although the journal has historically published content focused on and around China, we welcome submissions that extend beyond China and the journal provides a platform for research that has implications for developing and developed economies alike. We seek articles that not only align with the broader SDGs, but also contribute to the discourse on how economic policies and business practices can be aligned with sustainable development goals. JCEBS is committed to a rigorous, double-anonymised peer-review process that ensures the publication of high-quality full papers, short research letters and review articles.
