Journal of Biological Dynamics is an open access journal that publishes cutting-edge research analysing dynamic models that arise from biological processes. Journal of Biological Dynamics focuses on dynamic phenomena at scales ranging from the level of individual organisms to that of populations, communities, and ecosystems. The journal publishes papers that focus on model development and the mathematical analysis of models (although not analysis by means of numerical simulations alone). Papers should clearly state the motivating biological issues being addressed as well as the biological conclusions that result from the analysis. Papers that, in addition, relate models to experimental and observational data are particularly welcome. Journal of Biological Dynamics is of interest to mathematicians and biologists and covers dynamic phenomena in the following topics: Ecology and evolutionary biology Population dynamics Epidemiology Immunology Neuroscience Environmental science Animal behaviour Papers in other areas are acceptable at the editors’ discretion.
