Journal of Bangladesh Studies (JBS)
Journal Descriptions
We are pleased to announce that Brill will be the publisher of the Journal of Bangladesh Studies (JBDS) from 2025 onwards. The new issue of vol. 27 will be out soon! The journal welcomes articles from all disciplines of scholarship pertaining to the study of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh diaspora, or comparative studies that include Bangladesh. All articles go through a double-blind peer review process. It aims to provide a platform for rigorous intellectual and academic research as well as studies relevant to policymaking. Articles should address Bangladesh's problems and prospects from theoretical, empirical, or analytical perspectives prevalent in academic disciplines. While grounded in theory, analysis, and referenced work, they should be able to address readers beyond the specific disciplines they represent. JBDS publishes original research articles, short analyses of recent developments, short comments on specific issues, and book reviews. Short research notes and symposia around specific themes may be included as the opportunity arises.
