The Journal of Austrian-American History is devoted to the study of the historic relationship between the United States and Austria, including the historical Habsburg Empire. Its articles, review essays, and special issues explore the transatlantic exchange between the two countries across the disciplines of history, political science, economics, law, and cultural studies. An open access, double anonymous, peer-reviewed scholarly publication, the Journal of Austrian-American History is sponsored by the Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies, an initiative of the Dietrich W. Botstiber Foundation. There is no fee associated with submitting or publishing an article in the journal. Authors hold copyright to their articles and PSU Press licenses the work under Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY-NC-ND. The Journal of Austrian-American History is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available immediately upon publication without charge to the user or their institution. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, per the terms of the CC-BY-NC-ND license, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
