Journal of Applied Social Science (JASS)

The Journal of Applied Social Science is a peer‑reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing applied social science research. It serves as the official journal of the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology (AACS) and emphasizes work that connects sociological theory and methods with real‑world applications. The journal publishes a broad range of content, including research articles, essays, research reports, teaching notes, and book reviews that focus on the practical application of social science knowledge to address social problems and improve social conditions. Topics cover diverse areas of social science practice — such as community engagement, public policy analysis, organizational dynamics, social interventions, and reflections on the processes and impacts of applying social science insights in practice. Contributions are encouraged that either demonstrate how social science knowledge has been applied to improve a social condition or that critically reflect on how such applications can be effectively realized. JASS aims to foster dialogue between researchers and practitioners, bridging the gap between academic research and social practice. It is also a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), supporting high standards of integrity and ethical review in scholarly publishing
