Journal of African Conflicts and Peace Studies (JACAPS)
Journal Descriptions
Since its creation in 1999, the Center for Conflict Management (CCM) of the National University of Rwanda (NUR) has been giving priority to academic and policy debate on peace and conflict issues in the Rwandan region. Research findings were published in the former Cahiers du CCM. In 2008, the Journal of African Conflicts and Peace Studies was created to disseminate CCM publications. The Journal of African Conflicts and Peace Studies aims at promoting understanding of genocide and its prevention, dynamics of peace, conflicts and security processes in Africa. It assists policy makers by providing a knowledge pool for community education programs. In this context, this peer-reviewed and indexed journal publishes research papers on genocide, conflicts, governance, security, and other peace-related matters with particular focus on the African continent.
