Also another great benefit from using renewable energy is that many of them do not pollute our air and water the way burning fossil fuels do. In future the world must transform its current energy system on a global scale. It is expected that 60% of all our energy will come from renewable energy by the year 2070. Renewable energy R&D provides the pathway for new solutions with a steady flow of technological advances. New concepts and systems are emerging that demonstrate the importance of renewable energy as the new source of power for the future.
