International Journal of Maritime History (IJMH)

The International Journal of Maritime History (IJMH) is a long-standing, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the study and interpretation of humanity’s interaction with the sea and maritime environments. Since its founding in 1989, it has provided a respected forum for the dissemination of internationally relevant research on the historical dimensions of maritime affairs. The journal publishes quarterly and features original research articles, research notes, historiographical essays, and comprehensive book reviews that explore a wide spectrum of maritime historical topics.
