International Journal of Management Reviews (IJMR)
Journal Descriptions
The International Journal of Management Reviews (IJMR) is a quarterly, peer-reviewed academic journal that serves as a premier global forum for advanced literature reviews in management and business research. Since its inception in 1999, IJMR has played a pivotal role in shaping theoretical development in organisation and management studies by publishing comprehensive, critical, and integrative review articles that synthesize existing research and propose future research directions. Each issue typically contains five to six major review articles focused on a particular sub-discipline or emerging research theme — such as strategic management, organisational behaviour, innovation, entrepreneurship, human resource management, and decision sciences — bringing together diverse streams of scholarly work. The journal’s emphasis on conceptual rigor and theoretical contribution distinguishes it from purely empirical outlets, making it especially influential in advancing knowledge frameworks and guiding new inquiries in management. Edited under the auspices of the British Academy of Management and published by Wiley-Blackwell, IJMR attracts contributions from leading international scholars and is widely used by researchers, doctoral students, and academics interested in high-impact review scholarship. As a quarterly publication with broad interdisciplinary scope, it supports theory building, informs teaching curricula, and fosters critical dialogue about the evolution of management research worldwide.
