International Journal of Emerging Markets (IJoEM) publishes high-quality theoretical and empirical research that significantly enhances, advances or preferably develops our understanding of emerging markets through the causal exploration of the emerging market context and a clear link to theory. While influenced by some of the international business disciplines theoretical frameworks, like institutional theory and internationalization theory, IJoEM adopts a multidisciplinary perspective, drawing from economics, finance, marketing, management, strategy and theoretical frameworks from related disciplines. It embraces diverse methodological approaches supporting causal explorations of emerging market contexts which is clearly linked to appropriate theory. The journal welcomes both qualitative and quantitative studies, as well as conceptual work that advances emerging market theory, integrative literature reviews and meta-analyses, offering insights into the unique institutional, cultural, and economic contexts of emerging economies.
