Journal Descriptions

The International Journal of Business Analytics (IJBAN) is an indispensable resource for scholars and practitioners working in business analytics and related topics. The three main views of business analytics are descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive. Business analytics provides the foundation to combine historically disparate topics, such as data mining, quantitative approaches, OR/MS, DSS, and other areas, in a way that is more useful and application-driven. The journal spans the divide between many fields, including data mining, business process optimization, applied business statistics, and business intelligence/information systems. The journal promotes and offers solutions that enable businesses and organisations to make decisions frequently, quickly, intelligently, and in the present. The IJBAN's principal goal is to improve the decision sciences' nascent field and to offer a global venue for practitioners, researchers, and information technology specialists, software developers, and suppliers to share, discuss, and present their practical and cutting-edge ideas and work. The journal encourages exploration of different models, methods, processes, and principles in profitable and actionable manners.
