One of ISAC’s principal activities is production of the International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents (IJAA) in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier. The journal provides comprehensive and up-to-date peer reviewed reference information on the physical, pharmacological, in vitro and clinical properties of individual antimicrobial agents. In addition, it signals new trends and developments in the field through highly authoritative review articles on antimicrobial agents, immunomodulators and immunotherapy. Special attention is given to articles providing insight into the problems of antimicrobial resistance, local as well as worldwide, both in the hospital and in the community. Papers on the underlying mechanisms and on immunomodulating agents are also welcome. Both solicited reviews by top experts in the mentioned fields and high-quality original research papers are published. The journal Editor in Chief is Prof. Jian Li, Monash University who took over from Prof. Jean-Marc Rolain as of 1 January 2023.
