International Journal for the Study of the Christian Church (IJSCC)
Journal Descriptions
The International Journal for the Study of the Christian Church (IJSCC) welcomes research articles related to the contemporary life and theology of the Christian church. The journal is wide in scope and values the church’s polycentricity, reflecting global, diasporic and multilayered diversity. The journal is also hospitable to varied styles of theology—doctrinal, liturgical, pastoral, practical, and more. IJSCC is a refereed journal, which publishes commissioned and unsolicited articles. Contributions to the IJSCC take up perspectives that are contemporary, contextual, cross-cultural, ecumenical and interdisciplinary: Contemporary —oriented to the church’s present challenges, mission, problems and renewal; Contextual— situated in particular social circumstances while relating more broadly; Cross-cultural— in dialogue with difference, learning from elsewhere; Ecumenical —generous towards different ecclesial locations, receptive to others; Interdisciplinary— engaging Christian theology with insights of assorted disciplines.
