Inspira (Inspira)
Journal Descriptions
Inspira is a scientific journal that disseminates professional articles, research articles and knowledge summaries of particular relevance to anesthesia, surgical and/or intensive care nurses. The purpose is to contribute to ensuring that knowledge-based practice and patient safety are safeguarded in encounters with patients in the clinical field. This is achieved by disseminating research based on the history, traditions, uniqueness and place of the disciplines in society. A critical approach to existing practice could help anesthesia, surgical and intensive care nurses apply their knowledge and skills in new areas, to new thinking and innovation processes, as well as to improve existing practice. The journal is a collaboration between three professional groups in the Norwegian Nurses' Association (NSF); Anesthesia Nurses NSF, Surgical Nurses NSF and Intensive Care Nurses NSF. Common to the professional areas of anesthesia, surgical and intensive care nursing is the independent practice of advanced nursing in a high-tech, interdisciplinary environment, in acute and/or critical illness and/or injury, in surgery/examinations and intensive care. From 2021 onwards, Inspira will be published with an open access model. All articles are published continuously under a CC BY 4.0 license . Articles published before 2021 have been published in issues. These are available on the website as downloadable PDFs. Please note that these are not covered by the journal's current license. When using the articles, the authors and the Inspira editorial team must be contacted for permission. Inspira accepts contributions in Norwegian, Nordic languages and English.
