Injury, founded in 1969, is the official journal of The Australasian Trauma Society and an official journal of AO Trauma. It is also affiliated with multiple other trauma societies worldwide, including the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Traumachirurgie; the Osteoaynthesis and Trauma Care Foundation; the Trauma Society of India; the Hungarian Trauma Society; the British Orthopaedic Trainees Association; the Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology; the Turkish Orthopaedic Trauma Society; Clun Italiano Osteosintesti; the Brazilian Association of Orthopaedic Trauma; the Croatian Trauma Society; the Groupe d’Etude en Traumatologie Osteoarticulaire; the European Society of Tissue Regeneration in Orthopaedics and Traumatology; the Gerhard Küntscher Society; and the Italian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Our primary aim is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, techniques and information among all members of the trauma team. Topics covered include: trauma systems and management; surgical procedures; epidemiological studies; surgery (of all tissues); resuscitation; biomechanics; rehabilitation; anaesthesia; radiology; basic science of local and systemic response to trauma and tissue healing.
