Information & Culture publishes original, high-quality peer-reviewed articles examining the social and cultural influences and impact of information and its associated technologies, broadly construed, on all areas of human endeavor. In keeping with the spirit of information studies, we seek papers emphasizing a human-centered focus that address the role of and reciprocal relationship of information and culture, regardless of time and place. Information & Culture is an academic journal publishing scholarly work form any discipline that seeks to advance our understanding of the social and cultural dynamics of information and its associated technologies in our world. In continuous publication for over 50 years, the University of Texas has served as the editorial home of the journal since 1976. The journal's scope encompasses the social and cultural aspects of information in all areas of human endeavor, regardless of time or place. Our aim is to publish research on any topic that would fall under the purview of the modern interdisciplinary schools of information, particularly work that follows a strong user-centered focus. Information and Culture publishes original, high-quality, peer reviewed articles examining the social and cultural influences and impact of information and its associated technologies, broadly construed, on all areas of human endeavor.
