Journal Descriptions

Based on a methodological desire to combine the approaches of French and foreign practitioners and theorists, both civilian and military, Inflexions. Civils et militaires : pouvoir dire is a humanities and social sciences journal that aims to contribute to intellectual debate on current issues centered on military action. Divergent opinions, contradictions and even challenges are voiced to encourage further reflection. It is not intended to provide an institutional perspective. On the contrary, its aim is to promote free and fruitful reflection, free from any polemical spirit. Inflexions is a state of mind and an intellectual curiosity in the service of an original idea: to cross civilian and military perspectives on the major issues of our time, starting by drawing on the observation of a particular experience, that of soldiers, that of war, and the analysis of the organization that it determines. It leads to a free and fruitful reflection, free from any polemical spirit, free from any search for exhaustiveness, without institutional message. Inflexions is a stimulating human and social sciences journal, supported by the army, which contributes to its action, because there is no military success without reflection, without openness to the world. Inflexions is a magazine that is less at the service of the army than a magazine through which the army places itself at the service of the City.
