Indian Journal of Rheumatology (IJR)

Indian Journal of Rheumatology is an open access, peer reviewed journal which publishes high-quality empirical original research and review articles pertaining to all domains of Rheumatology. Articles are freely accessible online in perpetuity under a Creative Commons license. It started in 2006 as the official publication of Indian Rheumatology Association and is a quarterly journal. In addition to rheumatology, the journal is also relevant to researchers and professionals from other inter-disciplinary fields such as Nephrology, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Histopathology. The Indian Journal of Rheumatology (formerly, Journal of Indian Rheumatology Association) is the official, double-anonymized peer-reviewed publication of the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA). The Journal is published quarterly (March, June, September, December i.e., 4 issues), Invited supplements focussed on specific topics are published periodically. The Indian Journal of Rheumatology is indexed in Scopus, Embase, ESCI and DOAJ. The journal is circulated amongst bonafide members of IRA along with those who have subscribed the journal. The journal is also available open access on the journal website. The Journal accepts “original articles” or “brief reports” on clinical, laboratory and basic science research in the field of Rheumatology and “reviews” and “topical reviews” on topics of current interest. Case reports of exceptional educational value and relevance can be submitted as letter to the editor. The journal has a focus on topics and issues related to South Asia including the Indian subcontinent such as tropical rheumatology and peculiar scenarios prevalent and needs of these regions. Contributions in these or any other topics related to rheumatology are however welcome from anywhere in the world.
