Research on inflammation requires an integrated and holistic approach taking into account the complexities involved in the molecular mechanisms of inflammatory pathways and the cross-talk signalling cascades in various clinical conditions. The multi-dimensional approach encompasses various fields of medical sciences, basic sciences and clinical informatics. Dysregulation of immune system due to chronic inflammation will eventually cause several disease-states and morbidity. Therefore, it is important to know the factors and pathways that regulate the molecular mechanisms of inflammation so as to evolve strategies to reduce the consequences of inflammation and their health atrocities.
